United States Embassy, London, UK. January-February 2018.
Curated by Virginia Shore & Welmoed Laanstra
In close collaboration with the US State Department’s Art in Embassies program, Bradford studio, and Hauser & Wirth Gallery, Ars Formulae facilitated the preparation, shipment, fabrication, and installation of thirty-two 10x10’ canvases arrayed across a curved wall in the main atrium of the new US Embassy in London. The planning and design of this monumental installation spanned over more than ten months, and resulted in an arresting re-contextualization of the US Constitution by one of America’s most engaging contemporary artists. The end result will remain a permanent fixture in the embassy’s comprehensive collection of contemporary works.
